Is Barack Obama Someone We Can Know, Like and Trust?

Tina | January 20, 2009

The KLT Factor is not just something we should use to measure standards in business. It is a “life principle” that we should set as the standard we build on for ourselves.

KNOW-LIKE-TRUST?

I don’t do politics on any of my blogs so please don’t mistake this post for any type of political statement. Today, Barack Obama is being sworn is as our 44th President of the United States of America at today Inauguration. Yes, he will be the first Africa-America leader. But, still, is the KLT Factor there? Can you answer these questions:

Is Barack Obama someone that we really know?

Is he someone we like and more importantly, respect?

What about trust? Has Barack Obama earned our trust?

You might be thinking to yourself, “These questions are silly. The results of the election answer them.”

I don’t believe that to be true. The election showed very clearly that the American people were ready for a change and Barack Obama satisfied that desire. Now, can he live up to the job?

KNOW-we know a lot about our new President. And, if some of the less scrupulous media venues have their way, we may even have more information than we need to know. What do you know about Barack Obama? What else would you like to know?

LIKE- in this case, I don’t believe like is as relevant as respect. Do we respect Barack Obama? Respect is earned like trust is earned. Has this new President earned our respect yet?

TRUST-this is non-negotiable. Did winning an election mean that Barack Obama has the trust of the American people? Trust is earned. It is a privilege not a right. Do you trust Barack Obama as our new President of the United States of America.

The KLT Factor is the foundation for success in business and in life.

Each aspect, know-like-respect-trust, is a separate block that we lay down then build on.

Our actions, our words, our responses to events, how we treat others, how we treat ourselves, are all individual blocks that cemented together on our foundation of KLT. The result is the structure of who we are as a person and what we represent.

Use the KLT Factor as a foundation for your life and business. Choose the blocks you build with well. Cement them together with integity. Success will be yours.

As for our new President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, the next four years gives him ample time to build on the KLT Factor and the question, “Is Barack Obama someone we can know, like and trust?” will clearly be answered along the way.

Best wishes to the Obama family and to a building the next four years on the KLT Factor!

Barack Obama is not only a charismatic president but he is a very intelligent and smart person too. I congratulate him for winning a Nobel Peace Prize .
